Fun Friday Technique: Rock n’ Roll Stamping

Rock & Roll Stamping Technique www.maz.closetomyheart.com.au

Today’s Friday Fun Technique is the Rock n’ Roll Technique & no it doesn’t involve dancing, but it is just as fun!
This technique adds dimension to solid images with two colours of ink and even a gradient colour edges to your stamped images. What I love about this is that you never get the same look twice, each image will be different, depending on the angle you rock or roll your stamp into the other colour & how far you allow the second colour to travel to the centre of the image, but it is fun playing with the variations.

And the best part? No special tools needed.

What you need
– Your choice of colours of Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pads one light colour one darker.
– A solid My Acrylix® Stamps image. I used the Close To My Heart Stamp Happy for You

Technique Process
– Ink stamp with the lightest colour ink first, you do not want the darker colour of your ink to muddy your lighter colour.
– Press edges of stamp in a rolling motion on darker ink pad, being careful not to ink the centre of the stamp. You can rock n’ roll one edge or do it right around the stamped image.
– Stamp the image to reveal both colours on the stamped image.

I hope you enjoyed this Friday Fun Technique and I hope you give it a try over this weekend.

Till next time Maz
