The A Bushel & a Peck – June Stamp of the Month features a sweet girl, apples & lots of “I love you a lot” type sayings. I adore this sweet girl image & found her perfect to use for a number ideas.

A Bushel & a Peck - June Stamp of the Month www.maz.closetomyheart.com.au

The sayings were a little different for me – I think it is just not something I would normally hear. But it was fun to find out what a bushel & a peck were & what they meant.

It is a wonderful way to say that I love your more.

My First card I combine the sweet girl with Fresh Air Paper Pack & used one of the copper foil banners for the Thanks. I had fun fussy cutting some leaves to create my little cluster on the side.

My next card I played with inks & paints & created a background with white embossing & washed out stamped ink flowers using the Beautiful Friendship – Scrapbooking stamp set. I coloured the girl in with pink tones to match into the background.

I had fun creating these two different cards & I look forward to creating other ideas with this months stamp set.

The Color Your Life – April Stamp of the Month is full of wonderful words, including ones that encourage you to colour in. I love the long borders, the arrow & leaf branch, as these images can be used on any card or scrapbook layout. The words are perfect for scrapbooking, however Celebrate is a word I like to use on Birthday cards.

Color Your Life - April Stamp of the Month www.maz.closetomyheart.com.au

I decided to focus on the long decorative borders in the stamp set & use the word Celebrate. I paired the stamp of the month with Gimme Some Sugar paper & the butterflies from the Chelsea Gardens cardmaking stamp set.

I really like the colour combo of the Pewter & the colour of the year Bashful.

Oh I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this stamp of the Month Birthday Time – why because it is all about Birthdays. And I make a lot of Birthday cards. This set looks amazing & can be used for so many people – kids, boys, girls & adults.

Birthday Time March Stamp of the Month www.maz.closetomyheart.com.auWhat else I love about this stamp set is how well it ties into the featured paper packet of this month Stargazer & how well it works with the Super Boy & the Super Girl Stamp & thin cuts.

Now you can get this stamp set for $27 or for just $7.50 when you spend $75 or more on Close to My Heart Product. And I am sure that you will get heaps of use out of it and lots of ideas from this blog hop.

Now to the fun part sharing what I created with the Birthday Time — March Stamp of the Month,

The First card I created was this fab bridge fold card using the Super Boy Stamp set & the city line from the Cricut® You Are Here Collection.
Birthday Time Bridge Fold Card www.maz.closetomyheart.com.au
I used the One Year Older stamp as this way I can give this card to a range of years without having to worry about the actual age. I stamped the image in black, then again in red , fussy cut that one out & stuck it on top with foam tape. I re-stamped in black & cut out the banner and mounted it onto a circle. It made a nice embellishment piece that I could use on any card or scrapbook layout.

My second card I made use of the Cricut® Artfully Sent Collection & cut out one of the pop up cards.

I used one of the birthday greeting stamps to feature on the outside of the card. There is no rule that a greeting has to be on the inside & I like that the outside is a little plain & you get the surprise pop up inside.

If you liked to own this amazing Birthday Time — March Stamp of the Month, all you need to do is add it to your cart at full retail price of $27 OR, with your qualifying order of $75, add it at checkout for the promotional price of $7.50. You only have until Mar 31st (Easter Saturday), to own it.

CTMH Stamp of the Month: Sunny Thoughts (S1802) Australasian Blog Hop

This month’s stamp of the month  Sunny Thoughts is a great stamp set to have for Birthday’s or Just sending a special note to someone. Full of flowers & sayings this Stamp Of The Month set is very versatile.

Sunny Thoughts -February Stamp of the Month www.maz.closetomyheart.com.au

You can get this stamp set for $27 or for just $7.50 when you spend $75 or more on Close to My Heart Product. And seeing that February is a short month – you do not have as many days to get this one – so don’t delay & miss out.

This month I made a few different cards as I had a nice long weekend to sit down with this stamp set & play so that I could showcase how versatile this set is.

First Up is a simple card where the Chelsea Gardens paper is the hero of the story. I added the border stamp (which I love from the Sunny Thoughts Stamp set) on either side of the paper feature & double stamped in Glacier (I wanted the blue a darker shade) & fussy cut these out & glued over the flowers stamped in sweet leaf. I added a party banner for the flowers to adorn. All up it made for a very pretty card.
Its Your Day with SOTM Sunny Thoughts & Chelsea Gardens Paper. www.maz.closetomyheart.com.au

The next card is a Tri Fold Card Close with partial Die Cut as the closure. I played around with this card idea months ago but only decorated the card recently. The hardest part was what should I colour the butterfly with as I didn’t want to cut another one to place on top. In the end I went with watercolour pencils with no water. I might go over with a shimmer brush later. But I love how the Thank you card turned out.

This card is a modified design based on Make It from Your Heart™ Volume 4 patten 12. I was playing with mixing papers and before I knew it this card came about & was perfect to use the Birthday sentiment in the Sunny Thoughts stamp of the month set. Again I did some fussy cutting with the flowers to get the different colours for the flower petals & the leaves.
Wishing you Warm Wishes with SOTM Sunny Thoughts card design based on Make It from Your Heart™ Volume 4 patten 12. www.maz.closetomyheart.com.au

January 2018 Stamp of The Month (Bloom & Grow) www.maz.closetomyheart.com.au

This month’s stamp of the month Bloom & Grow is full of fun mixed fonts & sayings &  is perfect for the gardener as well as Valentines day or to create something for someone you love. You can get this stamp set for $27 or for just $7.50 when you spend $75 or more on Close to My Heart Product.

If you liked to play with Bloom & Grow – January Stamp of the Month, all you need to do is add it to your cart at full retail price of $27 OR, with your qualifying order of $75, add it at checkout for the promotional price of $7.50. You only have until Jan 31st, to own it.

And seeing that 1 Jan is also the start of the New Seasonal Inspirations Idea Book – there was  a whole bunch of new products that I could play with & incorporate using this month’s Stamp of the Month – so I am starting off with this paper craft project using the new Gift Card Box Thin Cut.

For you from Me Gift box with Bloom & Grow www.maz.closetomyheart.com.au

I die cut the Gift Card Box from Glacier cardstock and then stamped the Seed Packet frame onto white daisy cardstock & cut it down to be slightly smaller than the box top – the stamp is actually larger than the top of the box, so if you wanted to stamp straight onto the lid you would need to mask the sides of the boxes to ensure the image did not get onto them. I then proceeded to decorate with the gorgeous new Chelsea Gardens Paper and Chelsea Gardens Cardmaking Stamp + Thin Cuts.

Next up is a card featuring a Mermaid & one of the sayings from the Stamp of the Month. I felt that these two images worked well with one another.

Grow your own Magic with CTMH Bloom & Grow www.maz.closetomyheart.com.au

I modified a pattern from the new Make It from Your Heart™ Volume 4 which features 24 card patterns. I used the rock & roll stamping technique on the little vine leaf stamps in the Bloom & Grow – January Stamp of the Month to create the seaweed & added little flower sequins from the Make Waves Sequins & Gems. The Mermaid from the Make Waves—Scrapbooking stamp set is coloured in with ShinHan™ Touch Twin™ Markers and highlighted with the clear shimmer brush. I mixed and matched papers from the New Chelsea Gardens, Basics Fundamental, Whimsy Fundamental, Vellum & Silver Foil card.

I’d love for you to leave a comment before you head on over to the very talented Shaunna Richards – Passionate About Pages to get more wonderful ideas on how to use this stamp set.

I hope you enjoyed what I created, as much as I enjoyed creating it and thanks so much for taking the time to check out these ideas with this month’s Stamp of the Month.

A Little Bit of Pun -December Stamp of the Month www.maz.closetomyheart.com.au
This month’s stamp of the month is the cutest stamp set called A Little Bit of Pun. I love the little icons & the funny puns that go with each image & I have had a lot of fun creating with this stamp set. You can get this stamp set for $27 or for just $7.50 when you spend $75 or more on Close to My Heart Product.

Today I am sharing with you a couple of cards I created with two of the images.

First up – We MERMAID to be friends – I thought this cute little mermaid’s tail appearing up around the sea of circles was cute & that gold sea grass – is actually one of the gold foil accents from the Better Together Complements cut into pieces. The circles were cut using the circle thin cuts. I gathered some of the fundamentals papers together along with plain card stock that I stamped onto with the In the Background stamp. all together they made a fun little sea ocean. The tails were coloured in with ShinHan™ Touch Twin™ Markers and highlighted with the Clear Shimmer Brush.

A Little Bit of Pun - We were Mermaid to be friends www.maz.closetomyheart.com.au

Next I played with You’re A Gem of A Friend. I stamped one gem with the saying in Pewter Exclusive Inks™, this allowed me to plan out my random background of just the Gem image in Heather Exclusive Inks™. I filled in the spaces with the small heart images. I added one of the silver foil borders from the Better Together Complements along with some silver shimmer trim. Stamped the gem again but this time embossed it with Ranger™ Silver Super Fine Embossing Powder & fussy cut it out & attached with a foam dot. I added a little extra shine with the Clear Shimmer Brush.
