Chelsea Gardens #CTMH www.maz.closetomyheart.com.auThis gorgeous paper suite features soft blues & greens with Charcoal accents & while it has floral patterns within the paper suite – there are patterns in this suite that can easily lend itself to a baby boy card or layout or soft pretty floral cards.  I have had a lot of fun playing with Chelsea Gardens Paper Suite to hopefully spark some inspiration.

The first card I created is this monotone butterfly card, using the marble pattern paper as the background & the grey line pattern paper.

Chelsea Paper Suite Butterfly #CTMH www.maz.closetomyheart.com.au I stamped the leaves & butterfly in black & added some watercolour soft Charcoal colour over the images. I embossed the butterfly on vellum with silver embossing & cut it apart to add an extra layer over the stamped butterfly.

The next card I am sharing with you today is featuring the florals on one of the papers. I paired it with a soft textured grey paper and added silver foil & a scallop border.

Chelsea Paper Suite Thinking of You #CTMH www.maz.closetomyheart.com.au

Again the flowers were stamp in black & added some watercolour soft Charcoal colour over the images. I used one of the banners & butterflies from the Chelsea Gardens Complements.

I hope you enjoyed what I created today & if you did so, please leave a comment before you head over to the very talented: Shaunna Richards Passionate About Pages  who I am sure will showcase something absolutely wonderful.

Enjoy the hop & thanks so much for taking the time to check out these ideas with this month’s feature on the Close To My Heart Chelsea Gardens Paper Suite…Til next time, see you soon & keep creating!

January 2018 Stamp of The Month (Bloom & Grow) www.maz.closetomyheart.com.au

This month’s stamp of the month Bloom & Grow is full of fun mixed fonts & sayings &  is perfect for the gardener as well as Valentines day or to create something for someone you love. You can get this stamp set for $27 or for just $7.50 when you spend $75 or more on Close to My Heart Product.

If you liked to play with Bloom & Grow – January Stamp of the Month, all you need to do is add it to your cart at full retail price of $27 OR, with your qualifying order of $75, add it at checkout for the promotional price of $7.50. You only have until Jan 31st, to own it.

And seeing that 1 Jan is also the start of the New Seasonal Inspirations Idea Book – there was  a whole bunch of new products that I could play with & incorporate using this month’s Stamp of the Month – so I am starting off with this paper craft project using the new Gift Card Box Thin Cut.

For you from Me Gift box with Bloom & Grow www.maz.closetomyheart.com.au

I die cut the Gift Card Box from Glacier cardstock and then stamped the Seed Packet frame onto white daisy cardstock & cut it down to be slightly smaller than the box top – the stamp is actually larger than the top of the box, so if you wanted to stamp straight onto the lid you would need to mask the sides of the boxes to ensure the image did not get onto them. I then proceeded to decorate with the gorgeous new Chelsea Gardens Paper and Chelsea Gardens Cardmaking Stamp + Thin Cuts.

Next up is a card featuring a Mermaid & one of the sayings from the Stamp of the Month. I felt that these two images worked well with one another.

Grow your own Magic with CTMH Bloom & Grow www.maz.closetomyheart.com.au

I modified a pattern from the new Make It from Your Heart™ Volume 4 which features 24 card patterns. I used the rock & roll stamping technique on the little vine leaf stamps in the Bloom & Grow – January Stamp of the Month to create the seaweed & added little flower sequins from the Make Waves Sequins & Gems. The Mermaid from the Make Waves—Scrapbooking stamp set is coloured in with ShinHan™ Touch Twin™ Markers and highlighted with the clear shimmer brush. I mixed and matched papers from the New Chelsea Gardens, Basics Fundamental, Whimsy Fundamental, Vellum & Silver Foil card.

I’d love for you to leave a comment before you head on over to the very talented Shaunna Richards – Passionate About Pages to get more wonderful ideas on how to use this stamp set.

I hope you enjoyed what I created, as much as I enjoyed creating it and thanks so much for taking the time to check out these ideas with this month’s Stamp of the Month.

See you soon

A Little Bit of Pun -December Stamp of the Month www.maz.closetomyheart.com.au
This month’s stamp of the month is the cutest stamp set called A Little Bit of Pun. I love the little icons & the funny puns that go with each image & I have had a lot of fun creating with this stamp set. You can get this stamp set for $27 or for just $7.50 when you spend $75 or more on Close to My Heart Product.

Today I am sharing with you a couple of cards I created with two of the images.

First up – We MERMAID to be friends – I thought this cute little mermaid’s tail appearing up around the sea of circles was cute & that gold sea grass – is actually one of the gold foil accents from the Better Together Complements cut into pieces. The circles were cut using the circle thin cuts. I gathered some of the fundamentals papers together along with plain card stock that I stamped onto with the In the Background stamp. all together they made a fun little sea ocean. The tails were coloured in with ShinHan™ Touch Twin™ Markers and highlighted with the Clear Shimmer Brush.

Next I played with You’re A Gem of A Friend. I stamped one gem with the saying in Pewter Exclusive Inks™, this allowed me to plan out my random background of just the Gem image in Heather Exclusive Inks™. I filled in the spaces with the small heart images. I added one of the silver foil borders from the Better Together Complements along with some silver shimmer trim. Stamped the gem again but this time embossed it with Ranger™ Silver Super Fine Embossing Powder & fussy cut it out & attached with a foam dot. I added a little extra shine with the Clear Shimmer Brush.

CTMH Operation Smile™: Punny Pals Blog Hop

Australasian Blog HopA Happy Hello and welcome aboard to our very special edition – Operation Smile™: Punny Pals Australasian Close to My Heart Blog Hop.

If you have arrived here from the amazingly creative, Nell Ward then you are in the right place.

If you landed here by accident, no problem, please join in by following the link at the end of this post.

Team Up with The Punny Pals Stamp Set to Make a Difference

With the purchase of every Punny Pals stamp set, Close To My Heart donates $7 USD of the proceeds to Operation Smile™, an organisation that provides surgeries to repair cleft lips and palates for children around the world.

To bring these stamp images to life, Close To My Heart have made a coordinating set of Thin Cuts dies and an exclusive card kit! The card kit includes the dies, card bases, envelopes, paper, and step-by-step instructions for creating 32 cards, and it is available at a discounted price!

I have used both the Punny Pals & the coordinating set of Thin Cuts Dies to create a bunch of cards to share with you this month.

Operation Smile™: Punny Pals Go WIld Card
First Up Go Wild – It’s Time To Party Card. I used the Punny Pals animals & paired them with the Thin Cuts Block Alphabet, the Go is cut from Cats & Bats Range and the Wild is cut from the Falling for you paper range. The Grass is hand cut from Falling For You range. All the animals are coloured in with ShinHan™ Touch Twin™ Markers.

Operation Smile™: Punny Pals Owl Card

For the Happy Wishes on your Day Owl Card I started off with the background which is sponged & splattered with water & the Clear Shimmer Brush. I used the large Circle Thin Cut as a window to see the background & added in the little owl which has been coloured in with ShinHan™ Touch Twin™ Markers.

Operation Smile™: Punny Pals Lion Card

And finally my little lion card. The Grass background was made the same way as the blue Owl background – lots of different greens starting from lightest to the darkest sponged on & then water splattered over it along with the clear shimmer brush. The sky I used an extra Lion Thin Cut as a mask to create the clouds with a blue sponge. My grass is hand cut & layered & the lion is again coloured in with ShinHan™ Touch Twin™ Markers.

As you can see you can make so many different card ideas with these cute Punny Pals stamp set and believe me since getting the matching Thin Cuts it has been so much easier and the Share A Smile Card Kit is a bargain – you can make so much with what is included with it and I hope these ideas give you some starting off points.

And I’d love for you to leave a comment before you head on over to the very talented Wendy Hopper: Expressions of the Heart to get more wonderful ideas.

I have also included a little gallery of what I made since getting this stamp set that I have shared on my other social media sites.

Or head over to the Make it from the Heart Blog to see fab ideas on scrapbooking with this set

Enjoy the hop & thanks so much for taking the time to check out these ideas. I hope you enjoyed what I created, as much as I enjoyed creating it.
See you soon.
