To My Bestie - May Stamp of the Month #CTMH maz.closetomyheart.com.auToday I would like to share with you a creation which features Close To My Heart’s (S1905) To My Bestie – May Stamp of the Month

For my first card I pulled out one of the sentiments & balloons & mixed up the images from other stamp sets to create this Princess Birthday pop up shadow box card.

From this May Stamp of the Month set I used the saying (that one may normally use in the inside of the card) outside & the balloons inside , just peeking out behind the princess in this shadow box pop up card.

I used a lot of different stamps with the stamp of the month & loved how this card turned out.

My next card I went with something simple, using one of the border stamps, a flower & the Celebrate sentiment.

Celebrate Card with Stamp of the month To My Bestie #ctmh maz.closetomyheart.com.au

I used the large rectangle thin cut & cut it out of peach cardstock & paper from the National Scrapbooking Month – The World Is Yours & used Espresso Exclusive Ink to stamp the images. The scallop border stamped image looks great with the thin cut paper rectangles. The flower covers the join of the image. Quick & Simple.

I hope you enjoyed my ideas on how to use this great stamp set. This exclusive D-size (S1905) To My Bestie – May Stamp of the Month set – only available in January can be yours for just $8.25 AUD/ $7.50 NZD, when you place an order of $82.50 AUD/$75 NZD or more!

Love so Sweet - April Stamp of the Month maz.closetomyheart.com.au #CTMH

Today I would like to share with you a creation which features Close To My Heart’s (S1904E) Love so Sweet – April Stamp of the Month

This stamp set is so pretty with butterflies & flowers that are in different sizes along with leaves and lots of sweet sentiments, it is perfect to use for someone you love. This stamp set has lots of images that can be used in different combinations to create all sorts of papercraft ideas.

I created this card with lots of stamping in the background with the flowers in Lemon, Sugarplum & lilac & leaves in Sage & small butterflies in Pewter & then layered with vellum, printed paper from the Feels Like Home paired with a small piece of sapphire cardstock. I finished off with the larger butterfly in Pewter with second generation Sugarplum as the background & the thanks stamped onto linen cardstock.

My next card I used the ShinHan™ Touch Twin™ Markers to add extra details to the flowers & leaves. I fussy cut them out along with some leaves from one of the border thin cuts & layered them all around a stitched circle that ben stamped with the I so totally love you sentiment. I stamped the boder onto the woodgrain paper from the Feels Like Home collection & put the card all together.

Today I would like to share with you a creation which features Close To My Heart’s (S1901) Card Captions – January Stamp of the Month

This stamp set is full of Sentiments, perfect for cardmaking & there is just so many ways you can make these sentiments be used as part of a background design, the inside of your card or just to quickly add a little sentiment.

The first card I want to share is how quickly you can stamp one of the sentiments & add to a card for any occasion. I just stamped Happy Birthday onto a strip of card & added it to this cricket themed birthday card. I used Something Fierce Paper for the blue sky & green grass. The Cricket players were cut on my Cricut from a design I uploaded.

My next card shows how you can use the sayings as the background of the card.It is like creating your background paper but also adds a feature to the card design. On this version I have used a lighter colour  (Sage) & stamped the Thank You sentiments across the bottom & created used the word Fairy instead of Very from the Fairy Bread International stamp set.

Thank you "Fairy Much" card with Card Captions - January Stamp of the Month & Fairy Bread International stamp https://maz.closetomyheart.com.au

I used the same idea on the next card design where I stamped Happy Birthday across the background. To soften the look I used vellum. I cut a small strip from the front of the card & added some Feels Like Home Paper to the inside & the beautiful Budding Peony stamp, uncoloured to complete the look.

The Seasonal Trees – November Stamp of the Month The  features three fab trees suitable throughout any season, be it summer, winter, spring or autumn.

They can be used for Christmas or to just create pretty scene. I loved this stamp set when I first saw it & have been looking forward to creating something with it to share with you all.Seasonal Trees - November Stamp of the Month www.maz.closetomyheart.com.au

The first card I made is a Christmas Card where I used one of the tree leaves & the cute little bird house from the Seasonal Tree stamp set. I really love how this turned out with the sponging & stamping of the leaves in different greens peaking out of the large scallop that has been cut using the Decorative Borders Thin Cuts.

The next card I used the same leaves combined with the pine cones from the Wonder of the Season stamp set to create this Christmas themed image. Adding the Candy Apple Striped Ribbon & the Red Pearls helped finish this image off.

My final card I decided to actual feature one of the trees in full. The background that it is on is created with sage ink on an acrylic block with drops of gold shimmer pen & stamped onto cardstock. It was heat set & the tree stamped partially over the background. The leaves stamped in sage which appears darker as the background became lighter when it was mixed with the gold shimmer. I haven’t added a sentiment yet as I think I could use this card for Christmas or for someone’s birthday.

The Just Treats – September Stamp of the Month features a mix of Christmas & Halloween stamps. My favourite image is the striped border which is very versatile, I also like the mug which I think would be good if you are scrapbooking about the everyday activity of drinking tea or coffee.ust Treats Stamp of the Month www.maz.closetomyheart.com.au

I decided to create a Christmas card, that allows me to get a head start on my Christmas Cards that I will send out this year.

This cute Christmas card features the Fair Dinkum Christmas Koala holding some Christmas Just Treats. The Treats are a little large but oh they look so cute with the Koala. And to make it just a bit more Christmassy I used the ‘Tis the Season Paper Packet for the background.

Just Treats September Stamp of the Month & Fair Dinkum Christmas Card using CTMH 'Tis the Season Paper Packet www.maz.closetomyheart.com.au

Now I want to show you how I used the fab striped border onto this layout which is created from this month the National Stamping Month exclusive Cut Above® Layout Kit. I changed up the layout in the kit & I really wanted to incorporate stamping as this is National Stamping Month & the striped border from the Just Treats September Stamp of the Month worked really well. No one would guess that it is from a Christmas/Halloween Stamp set.

The A Bushel & a Peck – June Stamp of the Month features a sweet girl, apples & lots of “I love you a lot” type sayings. I adore this sweet girl image & found her perfect to use for a number ideas.

A Bushel & a Peck - June Stamp of the Month www.maz.closetomyheart.com.au

The sayings were a little different for me – I think it is just not something I would normally hear. But it was fun to find out what a bushel & a peck were & what they meant.

It is a wonderful way to say that I love your more.

My First card I combine the sweet girl with Fresh Air Paper Pack & used one of the copper foil banners for the Thanks. I had fun fussy cutting some leaves to create my little cluster on the side.

Thanks Card with CTMH Bushel and a Peck www.maz.closetomyheart.com.au

My next card I played with inks & paints & created a background with white embossing & washed out stamped ink flowers using the Beautiful Friendship – Scrapbooking stamp set. I coloured the girl in with pink tones to match into the background.
