Hello Foxy - June Stamp of the Month www.maz.closetomyheart.com.auHello Foxy – June Stamp of the Month certainly is a very cute stamp set.

With playful foxes, a lovely wreath & flowers plus some words  there is just so many possibilities with possibilities with this stamp set too; just by adding it to your cart at full retail price of $27 OR, with your qualifying order of $75, add it at checkout for the promotional price of $7.50. I had a lot of fun creating with Hello Foxy – June Stamp of the Month and I hope you enjoy the couple of ideas that I created for this blog hop.

Hello Foxy Card - June Stamp of the Month www.maz.closetomyheart.com.au

The first card I used the wreath to focus on one of the Foxes from the stamp set. I added a gold embossed crown from the Little Dream cardmaking set to my fox – it fits perfectly. The woodgrain background is from the No Worries Paper Packet – it is one of the pocket pages. The flowers and the fox were coloured in with ShinHan™ Touch Twin™ Markers

Jack the Bear with Flowers from Hello Foxy - June Stamp of the Month www.maz.closetomyheart.com.au

The second card I have used the flowers from the Hello Foxy stamp set to go with the Bear from the Jack Cardmaking stamp set. The papers are from Little Dreamer Paper Packet & the card itself is made from one of the All About the Gold Fundamentals. I have been meaning to create a card using one of these see-through overlays. The trick is to position your papers & card stock on either side of the the card front & back so you do not see any tape – so this allows you to add a saying on the inside front & still write on the card. I love how the Bear is holding one of the flowers as though he is ready to give it as a gift.

And I’d love for you to leave a comment before you head on over to the very talented Doris Taylor – Creative Inspirations to get more wonderful ideas on how to use this stamp set.

Enjoy the hop & thanks so much for taking the time to check out these ideas with this month’s Stamp of the Month. I hope you enjoyed what I created, as much as I enjoyed creating it. Remember you only have until Jun 30th, to own this stamp set.

See you soon.

Live, Laugh, Love - May Stamp of the Month www.maz.closetomyheart.com.auLive, Laugh, Love saying has been around fro a very long time and this month it makes a lovely appearance in this month’s Live, Laugh, Love Stamp of the Month & you can play with the stamp set too, just by adding it to your cart at full retail price of $27 OR, with your qualifying order of $75, add it at checkout for the promotional price of $7.50. You only have until May 31st, to own it.

I decided to focus on using one of the flowers & the together word along with some Little Dreamer Paper from the new Seasonal Expressions 2 Idea Book which also starts today!

Together Card using Close To My Heart Live, Laugh, Love - May Stamp of the Month www.maz.closetomyheart.com.au.jpg

The flowers were coloured in with ShinHan™ Touch Twin™ Markers & I played with cutting the cardstock as a triangular point so that you only got a peek of the pattern paper. This gave me an a place to stamp the together word at an angle. Some clear & bitty sparkles finished the card off nicely.

Flock Together -April Stamp of the Month www.maz.closetomyheart.com.auToday’s Blog Hop is full of inspiration for this month’s Flock Together  which is for $27 or for just $7.50 when you spend $75 or more on Close to My Heart Product.

This is little Partridge Family (no not the TV show featuring Shirley Jones and David Cassidy) has some very cute sayings that would be perfect for a Scrapbook layout but I decided to create a card. I really do like the scallop edge & thought it was perfect for a card.

Close To My Heart Tea-rrific - March Stamp of the Month #CTMH www.maz.closetomyheart.com.auIt looks like it is time for Tea with this month’s Tea-rrific—March Stamp of the Month & you can play with the stamp set too, just by adding it to your cart at full retail price of $27 OR, with your qualifying order of $75, add it at checkout for the promotional price of $7.50. You only have until March 31st, to own it.

I created two different cards using the Tea-rrific—March Stamp of the Month, one using only the flower and one of the sayings for one of the cards and the other card using a tea cup image.

Good Times card with Close To My Heart Tea-rrific-March Stamp of the Month www.maz.closetomyheart.com.au

For this Good Times card I stamped & fussy cut the flowers, I did stamp the flower a couple of times where I wanted it to sit on the card, but added the coloured in fussy cut flower on top. I used the grey  woodgrain paper from the Dreamin’ Big Paper Packet and the lace ribbon from the Rustic Home Ribbon Pack and used Colonial White Cardstock as my base. I liked how the paper and the flowers at the top corner & the one little flow in the opposite bottom corner has made you focus in on one of the great sayings that is in the Tea-rrific-March Stamp of the Month set.

Your Love card with Close To My Heart Tea-rrific-March Stamp of the Month www.maz.closetomyheart.com.au

For my next card I wanted a to create a Tea Cup full of flowers, my Nan would often place the dandelion flowers that I picked in a tea cup, instead of vase often because they had such short stems & well she was being nice to display them. So this card reminds me when I was little picking flowers & filling a tea cup, though they never looked as pretty as this card.

The cup and the flowers ha ve been coloured in with ShinHan™ Touch Twin™ Markers, blending the blues together to create the ombré look for the cup and using different colours for the flowers.

I used one of the Z strips Dreamin’ Big Paper Packet and some Silver Foil Tape to go with the silver colour I added with the Silver Metallics Markers only because I could not find my Gold one at the time anywhere!

And the tea bag by the way a very last minute addition – you know the ones you add to hide the black mark you somehow got in a random spot after you put the card together! Anyway it now looks complete with it.

And I’d love for you to leave a comment before you head on over to the very talented Doris Taylor Creative Inspirations to get more wonderful ideas on how to use this stamp set.

Enjoy the hop & thanks so much for taking the time to check out these ideas with this month’s Stamp of the Month. I hope you enjoyed what I created, as much as I enjoyed creating it.

Fun Friday Technique: Using the Back of your My Acrylix® Stamps to Stamp

Using the Back of your My Acrylix® Stamps to Stamp www.maz.closetomyheart.com.au

This Fun Friday Technique uses the back of the Close To My Heart My Acrylix®  stamps to create a shadow to sit behind your outlined image. This technique works best with symmetrical stamps. The My Acrylix®  stamps are sticky enough on the front that they will mount onto the My Acrylix® Blocks without falling off during your stamping process.

What you need
– Your choice of Close To My HeartMy Acrylix®  stamps – best to use symmetrical stamps. I used the Feb Stamp of The Month Easter Bunny – which wasn’t excatly symetrical but enough to make the technique work.
My Acrylix® Block to fit your chosen stamp image.
– Cardstock
– Chosen colour of Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pads I used Bamboo for my shadow & Cocoa for the outline.

Technique Process
– Add your stamp face down on the My Acrylix® Block – this is completely opposite of how you would normally mount your stamp, but you are going to use the back of your stamp to ink & and stamp with.
– Ink your stamp with your chosen colour of Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pads & stamp your image.
– You will now have a shadow of the stamp image.
– Clean off the ink using the My Acrylix® Stamp Scrubber & the My Acrylix® Spritz Cleaner
– Now turn your stamp image over & retamp over your shadow with the outlined image.

TIP
If the front of the stamp will not stick to the My Acrylix® Block & does fall off before you get a chance to stamp or even ink the back of your image, just clean the front of the stamp with My Acrylix® Spritz Cleaner & you will find it will stick to your block much better

That’s it! It is easy & very effective.

I hope you enjoyed this Friday Fun Technique and I hope you give it a try over this weekend.

Till next time Maz
