You Make My Heart Smile: Freshly Made Sketches #417

I am currently on leave from the corporate job, which has given me lots of time to play with my papercrafting products – which I am enjoying so much. Really not sure how it going to be once I go back to work next week – eek.

But I thought I should revisit the Freshly Made Sketches Challenges stating off with the Freshly Made Sketches #417 would be a nice way to create & challenge myself.

Freshly Made Sketches #417

What I made

I started off with the Close To My Heart February Stamp of the Month – Cherishing Her, which will be available in February, to create this card.

I stamped & coloured the card in & fussy cut the image out & placed it onto a stitched rectangle frame & layered over a slightly larger piece with a torn bottom, both of these are from the  Jan–Feb Mixed-In papers collection.

The strip was stamped with my sentiment onto the Celebrate Today Paper Packet & cut at an angle one end.

I finished off with some Diamond Stickles™ Glitter Gel – I mean we all need a little glitz & glamour in lives so why not.

I hope you all enjoyed what I created using this sketch.

Till Next time & keep creating!

Congrats: Freshly Made Sketches #277

I had a play with my little Congrats stamp that fits perfectly inside on of my Basic Circle Thin cuts & thought that it would be perfect for this week’s Freshly Made Sketch #278 but I had to add the leaves – I really felt it needed so it my not quite fall into the clean style but this is where the inspiration for this card came from.

What I made

Congrats - Freshly Made Sketches 278 CTMH Dreamin' Big Paper and Wood Slats Embossing folder. www.maz.closetomyheart.com.au

I used the Close To My Heart Dreamin’ Big Paper Packet, Wood Slats Embossing Folder, Thin Cuts—Basic Circles and the Leafy Congrats stamp which has been coloured in with ShinHan™ Touch Twin™ Markers. I sponged a mix of colours over the white daisy to give more colour & added leaves cut from a leaf that I found in the Cricut® Flower Market Collection.

I hope you all enjoyed what I created using this sketch.

Birthday Fun: Freshly Made Sketches #277

Ok so this week’s Freshly Made Sketch #277 proved to be a bit challenging for me – not sure why but it wasn’t coming together that easy or as I first imagined but in the end I liked what I created.

Freshly Made Sketches #277 - A Sketch by Jen T.

I used the stamp set & one of the pattern papers from the Workshops Your Way® Here for You Cardmaking Kit and randomly stamped the flowers & leaves across White Daisy cardstock. I added some black watercolour splatter to tie in the background and then soften the design by adding a vellum overlay from the Uptown Fundamentals the saying is from one of the stamp sets included in the Cricut® Flower Market Collection and was white embossed on black cardstock and embellished with Black & White Dots.

Bunch of Roses for a Happy Birthday: Freshly Made Sketches #275

Today I got a chance to meet up with a bunch of creative crafters & I took along with me the Workshops Your Way® Here for You Cardmaking Kit and decided that the roses from this kit would be perfect for the Freshly Made Sketches #275.
Freshly Made Sketches #275

I used some Vellum from the Uptown Fundamentals to form the circle which overlays the stamped cluster of roses & leaves from the Workshops Your Way® Here for You Cardmaking Kit. The strips are created from White Shimmer Trim & a strip of paper.
