Close To My Heart Storybook – Australasian Blog Hop

A Happy Hello and welcome aboard our Storybook Australasian Close to My Heart Blog Hop.

For this project I choose to create a 8½” x 11″ Scrapbook layout that will feature one of those everyday moment type pics you take for no real reason.

I started off with ink blending the background with Speckled Egg Distress Oxide™ Ink & did some oxidisation with water. I also added in Mist Exclusive Inks™ stencilled over with the dotted stencil from the Slimline Card Front Stencil Pack 2. I then tore the edge of the diamond, dotted design & the striped design from the Storybook Collection.

I created a photo mat from the Blue Arrow design & have a little bit of the Storybook—Cardmaking background Thin Cut behind this on the left side for a little added interest.

I used the little flags from the Storybook Sticker sheet & created some to match from cardstock.

I added some zip strips & embellishments from the Storybook Die-cuts & the stickers.

The title was created from the Storybook—Scrapbooking Stamp & the Bracket & date frame from the Lovin’ Right Now Stamp Set.

I wrote out THE for the title with a journal pen.

I had a lot of fun creating this Scrapbook layout.
