Close To My Heart Love Is All You Need – Australasian Blog Hop

A Happy Hello and welcome aboard our Love Is All You Need Australasian Close to My Heart Blog Hop.

If you have arrived here from Lauren Moore- CTMH Craftings then you are in the right place. If you landed here by accident, no problem, please join in by following the link at the end of this post

Ok my first idea, well lets say I am waiting for some products to be delivered, but I have lots at home to play with, so I had to come up with another idea this week.

I already had this gorgeous background created (without the Love stamped onto it) and I thought the colours were perfect for the Love theme.

The background was done with Distress Oxide ink & water with some stencilling. I had it sitting in my stash to use when I was ready to create with it. I found the Love word from the Lovin’ Right Now Stamp Set & stamped it in Papaya Exclusive Inksโ„ข as I thought the colour blended nicely with the pinks & oranges I used in the background.

I stamped the Dragon from the Storybookโ€”Scrapbooking Stamp Set & coloured it in Pale Pink TriBlendโ„ข Marker with some highlights from the Pale Pink Shades TriBlendโ„ข Marker. I then added Diamond Sticklesโ„ข Glitter Glue over the main part of the body.

I had seen an Instagram Post from Ranger Ink that showed how you could mix a little bit of water with Liquid Pearlsโ„ข to create some luminous paint, so I tried a little bit of Rose Gold Liquid Pearlsโ„ข with water to add to the inner parts of the wings & on the snout of the dragon. It is hard to see in this photo, but it is nice & shinny.

I fussy cut out the dragon, cutting into the body so it could hold a heart from the Lovin’ Right Now Stamp Set & attached it to a circle cut from white daisy that had a very pale sky & grass blended onto it & some stamped flowers from the Sweet Easter Stamp Set.

I completed the card with some hearts stamped in Papaya Exclusive Inksโ„ข from the Storybookโ€”Scrapbooking Stamp Set
