Stamping on Cardstock – CTMH Technique Blog Hop

Welcome to this month’s Technique Blog Hop where we the theme is to “Stamping on Cardstock” with Close To My Heart products.

This is a great easy colouring technique that I really do not use enough.

My first card I used the fun Happy Cake Day Stamp & Thin cuts set – it is like this stamp set is designed for this technique. I did though cut the cake stand in Gold Foil & I added some white Gel details to one of the cake layers.

I choose to use the Happy Birthday Balloons from the Festive Borders to be in the centre of my cake layers & to just use the inner part of the Slimline Shaker Window Thin Cuts using the one of the papers from the Love Story Paper (Black) collection. I added some card stock strip in the background that is the same colours as my cake layers & some glitter to the candle flame.

My next card I used the flowers & leaves from the As You Grow stamp & Thin Cut set.

I added some TriBlendโ„ข Markers for extra detail on both the flowers & leaves. I used the Love Story Paper (Black) collection again for this card & added some shimmer trim & sponged on Mermaid Lagoon using what was o my sponge without re-inking it. Then on the side I I added some silver thread & clustered my flowers & leaves with some 3D foam tape & finished it off with a sentiment from the For All Occasions set. I loved how this turned out.

I had fun creating this card and loved how it all came together & Iโ€™d love for you to leave a comment before you head on over to Melissa Robinson to get more Stamping on Cardstock ideas.

If you like to get any of the products that I have used in this project, please contact your Close To My Heart Consultant or if you do not have a consultant & are an Aussie, I would love for you to place an order with me on my website
