This National Stamping Month, show your love of stamping and cardmaking with the Slimline Celebration special!

This special features three exclusive stamp + Thin Cuts sets, that have the sweetest icons, plus two slimline card front Thin Cuts dies (Circle Cluster & Star Cluster) and to top it all off another stamp set that is loaded with sentiments sized perfectly for a slimline card!

I have actually made sooo many cards with these products already. The stamps sets are just so adorable & really these thin cuts are amazing.

My First card is a slimline but instead of using one of the Slimline Celebration Thin Cut Dies, I used the inner part of the Slimline Shaker Window Thin Cuts die.

I then stamped the Slimline Sentiments onto some white daisy & did minor decorations with some ink using the Perfectly Imperfect Patterns to highlight one of the words & add some extra decoration & the Orange blend Tri-Blend Marker which worked well with the Papaya Cardstock. I then added some Bright Bitty Beads in the orange colour to complete the card. I love how quick & simple this card was to create.

For my next card I pulled out the Distressed Oxide Inks.

I created a fun ocean background with Mermaid Lagoon & Chipped Sapphire for the ocean & blended some Mowed Lawn Distress at the bottom where I was going to place the seaweed. I sprayed with water & once dried I stamped some little fish in an assortment of inks. I coloured some cardstock with Mowed Lawn Distress & added some touches of left over blue distressed oxide inks & sprayed with water. I created seaweed with this. For the Angel Fish I done some Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade & Abandoned Coral. I added touches of white gel pen to the tails.

And finally for my seahorse I used Peacock Feathers with touches of Mermaid Lagoon & sprayed with water. I added white gel pen to the seahorse. I cut out a scrap of white cardstock with one of the inner pieces of the Square Windows Slimline Thin Cuts & stamped my saying.

I ran out of time to share some ideas using one of the fab thin cuts that comes in this collection, but I have enjoyed creating with them, you will sure to see them featured somewhere in this hop or on my socials.

I hope you enjoyed what I created with the Slimline Celebration paper collection, it was fun to create with.

There are so many products to choose from for this technique hop “Make it Shine” So I went through all my shiny products & in the end I used Gold Foil cardstock, Solar Flare Stickles™ Glitter Gel, Gilt Gloss Spray, Gold Embossing Powder & Rose Gold Liquid Pearls. And then while on my early morning walks I seen all the Golden Wattle trees in bloom (they start to bloom late winter early spring here in Australia – so they are just about finishing blooming now) & knew I had to use some sort of Green colours to go with all the gold.

I also wanted to incorporate the Mermaid Lagoon which is one of the new colours Close To My Heart has added to the Distressed Oxide range. So I started with that & blended it Mowed Lawn Distress oxide so I got some nice blue/green colours. I then sprayed some Gilt Gloss Spray (one of the new colours added to the Gloss Spray range) and felt it needed more gold. So I stamped a paint splatter from the Perfectly Imperfect Patterns in versa mark ink & gold embossed. It took me a day to think what I would do next with this background before I ran it through the Die-cutting & Embossing Machine with the Botanical Embossing Folder. And then I loved how the background looked.

I die cut the large circle & embossed the Happy Birthday from the Embroidered Card Front stamp set & cut out some flowers & leaves using the Layered Flowers Thin Cuts. I added then Solar Flare Stickles™ Glitter Gel to make them stand out just a bit from the background & added some Gold Foil cardstock to the flower centres and finished off with a couple of drops of Rose Gold Liquid Pearls.

I had fun creating this card and loved how it all came together & I’d love for you to leave a comment before you head on over to Darlys Recker to get more Make it Shine ideas.

The Pumpkin Spice paper collection works wonders on cards, scrapbook layouts, and all kinds of crafts made for a variety of occasions.

I decided to use the Pumpkin Spice Collection with the Thoughtful Critters from the Slimline Celebration as they seemed like the perfect fit.

I cut the papers with the Circle Cluster Thin Cuts & glued them into place so each circle shows some of the design – you can do this with scraps as long as you know where the pattern paper is going to go.

I coloured the critters in with markers but with the owl I did stamp onto the pattern paper & fussy cut out & placed over the owl. I fussy cut some trees out from one of the papers so it could be part of a landscape background. I used one of the stickers to fit into one of the circles but as I did not like the sentiment I stamped one & placed it over the top.

I added a couple of wooden stickers, Rose Gold Liquid Pearls & a little branch from the Layered Flowers Thin Cuts. And I added some white Gel Pen & Antique Bronze Metallic pen on the owls wings & tree stump.

I hope you enjoyed what I created with the Pumpkin Spice paper collection, it was fun to create with.

Anything Goes – CTMH Technique Blog Hop

So I hard time choosing what my favourite technique is, I even looked at what I have created over the years to see if I went back to a certain technique again & again, but I like to play with lots of different techniques as it helps make a certain stamp look very different from the last time you used it. So I thought I would focus on creating backgrounds using different techniques & see where I went from there. So with that in mind I hope you like this idea for “Anything Goes

My first background is a simple Distress Oxide Ink with some water splatters.

For this background it was actually created from the left over gloss spray on a stencil which I pressed onto some scrap card & realised it was to pretty to toss so I have finally used it with this butterfly card.

And I pulled out a different stencil this time to use ink & glitter paste. I also stamped the two smaller butterflies on some distress oxide with water splatter offcuts to go with the other three that were stamped on pattern paper. I added a touch of the same distress oxide ink to tie them together.

I had fun creating all these cards & I’d love for you to leave a comment before you head on over to Lauren Moore to get more Anything Goes ideas.

Dazzling Dimension – CTMH Technique Blog Hop

Welcome to this month’s Technique Blog Hop where we the theme is to “Dazzling Dimension” with Close To My Heart products.

If you have arrived here from Kim Loewen then you are in the right place.

Dimension achieved in different ways & today I wanted to share how I created  Dazzling Dimension

I decided to create a little scene using the Build-a-Rainbow Thin Cuts & the sun burst stencil in Stencil Pack 3 with the cute sheep from From the Funny Farm.

I sponged the sun burst stencil on the background of the card to create a base.

More Dimension was added with the large Hexagons using the Stitched Hexagons Thin Cuts & created my background with some Distressed Oxide Inks & Shimmer Brush splatters. I then layered the clouds & added some Solar Flare Stickles™ Glitter Gel to create dimension & the look & feel of the sun behind clouds.

I added the Sheep on top of all this with 3D Foam Tape to create more dimension

I had fun creating all these cards & I’d love for you to leave a comment before you head on over to Miss. Carrie to get more Dazzling Dimension ideas.
