I love to package up treats for friends for any occasion, be they handmade or shop brought treats, it just makes them super special.

I have created some packaging using Thin Cut Die, the Cricut & one that I cut & scored – all of these ways I use often when I package up some treats.

Box Base Bag with Close To My Heart Spruced Up & Thin Cuts - Favor Box with Celebrate Today paper & You're Not Old Stamp & Pillow Box cut with Cricut & decorated with Close To My Heart Shared Happiness Stamp + Thin Cuts

The first treat bag is a box base bag decorated with the Spruced Up -Cardmaking Stamp + Thin Cuts & papers.

I also used the partial die cutting technique with the Scalloped Circle Thin Cut Thin Cut to create a decorate top.

My next one uses the Thin Cuts – Favor Box which is in the online only section of your consultant’s website. I decorated with the Celebrate Today papers & the You’re Not Old stamp set.

My final treat box uses Close To My Heart – Art Philosophy Cricut® Collection & decorated with Shared Happiness Stamp + Thin Cuts, Julep Velvet Ribbon & Black & White Dots.

Wish someone a very cheeky birthday message five different ways

The You’re Not Old stamp set is certainly a cheeky Birthday stamp set that you can use to wish anyone a cheeky birthday. I had a tonne of fun creating lots of different ideas creating with it

The first card I had to use the You’re Not Old stamp set with the new Card Front Spinner Thin Cuts to reveal the cheeky message of “You’re How Old?”

She was stamped & coloured in directly onto the card front as the spinner was enough .

The next idea, I wanted to replace the cake with something, so I cut out a stack of presents from the Cricut® Artistry Collection, stamped her skirt onto some of the yellow flower mix in pattern paper & made this Birthday card.

One extra feature was that I coloured in the Scallop Circle Thin Cut with some markers so that it matched the strip of Celebrate Today Paper Packet, I used a mix of yellows, oranges & pinks.

My next idea I wanted to only use part of the main image, this is a great one if you stuff up the colouring in on the bottom – you can just cut it out & make it a feature & no one but you will know.

I love how the Celebrate Today Paper strips draw focus to the image sitting in the Scallop Circle Thin Cut & the For You stamp makes it seem like this sweet Nan baked a cake just for you.

My next card idea I thought I turn into a shaker card using the Happy Birthday Shaker Window Thin Cut Die.

I kept it simple, sticking to blue tones & background stamping with one of the sentiments, but this Nan looks great with a shaker element.

My final example I once gain replaced the cake with a preset & cut it down smaller

I used Celebrate Today paper & fussy cut some flowers & added some sequins to the flower centres to complete.

I hope you like my ideas using the You’re Not Old stamp set and that I have given you lots of ideas to go & create with it.

Below is an extra idea from the Close To My Heart Art Department – I love the background.

Ok I found some more fab ideas from other consultants that I had to share here, so you have loads of inspiration.

Close To My Heart Spruced Up Australasian Blog Hop

Australasian Blog Hop

A Happy Hello and welcome aboard our Spruced Up Australasian Close to My Heart Blog Hop.

If you have arrived here from Danielle Edwards – Scrappy Chicks then you are in the right place. If you landed here by accident, no problem, please join in by following the link at the end of this post.

Spruced Up has a wintery feel due to the Sticker sheet but if you omit that you have this lovely combo of Sangria & New England Ivy & a fabulous white wood grain that could be used for other projects not so wintery themed.

My first card was super quick & simple & only has the smallest amount of stamping as I used the Spruced Up Sticker Sheet to create my main focal point of the card.

My next card I wanted to play with the new Happy Birthday Shaker Die, so I combined it with a daisy flower cut from the Flower Market Cricut & paired that with some of the leaves from the Spruced up Sticker sheet.

You Make My Heart Smile: Freshly Made Sketches #417

I am currently on leave from the corporate job, which has given me lots of time to play with my papercrafting products – which I am enjoying so much. Really not sure how it going to be once I go back to work next week – eek.

But I thought I should revisit the Freshly Made Sketches Challenges stating off with the Freshly Made Sketches #417 would be a nice way to create & challenge myself.

Freshly Made Sketches #417

What I made

I started off with the Close To My Heart February Stamp of the Month – Cherishing Her, which will be available in February, to create this card.

I stamped & coloured the card in & fussy cut the image out & placed it onto a stitched rectangle frame & layered over a slightly larger piece with a torn bottom, both of these are from the  Jan–Feb Mixed-In papers collection.

The strip was stamped with my sentiment onto the Celebrate Today Paper Packet & cut at an angle one end.

I finished off with some Diamond Stickles™ Glitter Gel – I mean we all need a little glitz & glamour in lives so why not.

I hope you all enjoyed what I created using this sketch.

Till Next time & keep creating!

Everyday Magic – January Stamp of the Month is full of positive setiments, that are perfect for both cardmaking & scrapbooking

My first card I combined a saying from the Everyday Magic with flowers from the Shared Happiness stamp & Thin Cut set & Sangria pattern paper from the Spruced Up paper pack

Kind Heart, brave spirit: Everyday Magic - January Stamp of the Month

I love how the window cut to the side, along with the flowers, frames the saying & draws your eye right to it.

My next card I created as a spinner card, I actually used the new Card Front Spinner Thin Cut Die, it was an experiment to to see what else I could do with the die & I was really happy how this saying surrounded by the flowers spins.

Seek Everyday Magic - January Stamp of the Month

My final card also uses the Shared Happiness stamp & Thin Cut – I think it might be a new favourite?

Be Your Own Kind of Beautiful: Everyday Magic - January Stamp of the Month

This time I had to do some fancy stamping to reduce the line height between the words to allow the saying to fit into this rectangle. But I really do like how it worked out & I love the gradient mint colour on this Mix -in paper that I used in the background with the stitched rectangle die.

This exclusive D-size Everyday Magic stamp set (only available in January) can be yours for just $9 AUD/ $10 NZD, when you place an order of $88 AUD/$98 NZD or more!

Contact your CTMH consultant to place an order. If you do not have a consultant, I would love for you to place an order with me.
